Obviously PEMDAS 2.0 has not been released yet, even though it's May. I'm very sorry about this, and it's a little frustrating (and ironic), because as soon as I put the graphic and news post up saying I'd release PEMDAS 2.0 in April, a project at my work that was originally due in June changed to be due April 30. Since I had to work a lot of hours to finish it, I wasn't able to get much work in on PEMDAS.

We'll see how things go, but I'm hoping to release PEMDAS by May 17, and hopefully sooner. The biggest thing left is bug testing the support for commas in the equation and also re-implementing copy/paste, and there are a few minor issues.

But not only am I eager to release it so everyone can use it, but I also want to work on an update to the iPhone app and a new iPad app, and I'm not going to start until the widget is out.

Again sorry for another delay but I still think it will be worth it.

As you may have noticed by the banners above and on the home page, I'm in the final stages of development on Version 2.0 of the widget!

The new update is pretty significant, and in fact the code running the widget was almost entirely rewritten. There are many new features, the biggest of which is a heavily renovated interface. Many of the features are borrowed from the PEMDAS iPhone and PEMDAS Desktop apps.

The next post will likely be the release of the update, which may be as soon as next week!

I've been waiting a long time to say this -- PEMDAS is now on the iPhone (and iPod Touch)!

This app has been in relatively quiet development since last June, and I really hope the wait has been worth it. I've been using it for the past few months, and I really like it.

However, unlike the widget, this app won't be free -- I've priced it at $4.99. I put a lot of thought into how much it should cost, so hopefully you will find that it's well worth it.

Finally, like I said in the previous post, the widget is still under in development. I'm trying to have the new version out sometime in the next few months, and I'm sorry it's taking so long, because the widget is really hurting for an update. But hopefully now with the PEMDAS for iPhone release, you can see where some of the time I would have otherwise been working on the widget has gone.

Hey everyone, not sure if you've noticed, but I've gradually been moving all PEMDAS related pages over to the Donkey Engineering site. Today I uploaded the new page for the PEMDAS Widget. Besides being a lot nicer than this page, and I also added an update on the status of development on the widget.

I also released an update to the PEMDAS App, Version 0.2.3. I definitely recommend checking it out!

I haven't quite figured out what to do with this site. I might move this news section over to a news section on the other site, or leave it available as an archive here. I'll leave this page up for the time being, but pretty soon I'm going to have it automatically redirect to the new site.
